R.R. Mayfield is the author of the Blades & Balance and The Lost series, two interconnected worlds full of romance, chaos, and guaranteed happy endings.

Her love of books began early, as did her tendency to choose fictional worlds over the real one. She often got into trouble at school because she’d get lost in stories about mythical creatures instead of paying attention. In her defense, dragons were far more interesting.

​

When she isn’t writing, she’s usually spending time with her husband, three kids, and goldendoodle, or dreaming up another faraway world of her own creation.

​

She lives in Minnesota.
